Nowadays, the dynamic balance detection of rotors in mechanical industry is very important, and the requirements of measurement are getting higher and higher. The development of machinery also has a great improvement in vibration and noise. Due to the large demand for rotor dynamic balance correction which is not easy to disassemble, we can improve the quality and volume of on-site dynamic balance instrument and at the same time make the measurement accuracy more accurate.

The on-site dynamic balancer is composed of host, cable, sensor and magnetic base, speed sensor and support, etc. For different rotating workpieces, select the appropriate dynamic balancing machine to measure the corresponding imbalance correction. For beginners, the on-site dynamic balancer with automatic diagnosis and navigation is much easier to operate.

What precautions and preparations should be taken before using the on-site dynamic balancing instrument? Huake Zhi Creative Dynamic Balance Technician shares the operation steps of on-site Dynamic Balance Instrument.

I. Preparations

1. One movable porous socket (220V power supply);

2. One electric welder;

3. Temporary and formal weights (temporary weights about 50g and formal weights about 500g);

4. One precision electronic balance.

II. Pre-test preparation

1. Install the speed probe on the magnetic base support, affix a reflector to the measuring point of the balanced rotor measured, and connect the vibration probe with cable, and install each on the side plane of the front and rear bearing base (note: the reflector should be firmly affixed to the rotor to avoid injury).

2. Connect power cord with host, speed probe and vibration probe.

3. Start up and properly adjust the position and sensitivity between speed probe and balancing rotor. The speed probe is about 5mm away from the reflector, where the red and green lights are on.

4. Enter the initial mode after starting up and choose one-sided balance, i.e. press the mode key MODE to display 1PL, then press the confirmation key ENT to confirm, then the INIT light should be on. If other lights are on, press CAN for 3 seconds and reset the one-sided balance.

III. Initialization operation

1. Check the lights and indicators on the operating panel (INIT light on) after starting up.

2. Check whether the balancing rotor is in the initial state without temporary and balancing weights.

3. Turn on the motor and drive the rotor to rotate. By checking the speed indicator (digital display), when the speed reaches a constant state, press START.

4. During operation, the actual waveform height and unbalance angle are displayed 5 times in the area of indicator 1#. When initialisation is completed, TEST1 light will come on (where speed is not displayed during operation and speed is displayed upon completion).

5. Shut down after all operations are completed.

IV. Adding temporary weights

1. Add a temporary weighing block with known weight at any edge of the stopped impeller. This position will be the first point of the 0 degree angle of the polar coordinate balance and the weight balance (Note: the balancing weight should be fixed on the same diameter of the weight).

2. Start the motor. When the impeller reaches a certain speed and is stable, press START.

3. After the start, the speed is not shown, the actual waveform height and imbalance angle are displayed 5 times in the indicator. When the operation is completed, the speed is displayed and the TEST1 light flashes (e.g. the TEST1 light does not flash, indicating that the temporary weight is too light. In this case, increase the larger temporary weight and re-operate it).

4. After stopping the balancing rotor, remove the temporary weight, the number 1.00 shows in the column of unbalanced waveform height, "1" flashes, and precisely input the temporary weight value at its position, input with setting key and confirm with ENT key.

5. After inputting the temporary weight value, the balance angle and weight of the balance weight are displayed on the operating panel.

V. Adding Balanced Weight

1. Find out the position of increasing the balance weight according to the balance angle according to the rotation direction of the rotor and taking 0 degree as the reference. Weld the balance weight firmly (Note: the weight of welding rod used should be taken into account when welding the temporary balance weight and balancing balance weight to the impeller).

2. Start the motor after completion and measure the vibration value. If ideal, complete it. If not, repeat the operation.
