Four key points for selecting the testing speed of the dynamic balancing machine!
A balancing machine is a dynamic balancing device used to measure rotor imbalance. It can be further divided into hard and soft supports based on its supporting structure. For low-speed, internally suspended, and center of gravity rotors, a hard support balancing machine can be selected. High speed and high-precision rotors can only be selected with soft support balancing machines. In terms of price, the hard support structure is simple and cost-effective, while the soft support structure is complex and costly. Users must choose a dynamic balancing machine based on their product speed, external geometric dimensions, and dynamic balancing accuracy. Choosing a useful balancing machine for one's own product is crucial, as it directly affects the quality of the product

The balancing test speed of a dynamic balancing machine is closely related to the working speed of the workpiece, but there are many different opinions on the specific relationship. Many people believe that the higher the testing speed of a balancing machine, the better the balancing effect of the workpiece, and the better it can reduce negative factors such as vibration and noise; Some people believe that it is best to achieve the same actual working speed of the workpiece rotor as the speed during calibration.

1. Select the appropriate rotational speed based on the working speed of the workpiece

After selecting a suitable dynamic balancing machine equipment, the higher the working speed of the workpiece, the higher the dynamic balancing test speed should be selected. Except for workpieces with large static balance, as explained earlier, different workpiece materials and dynamic balance speeds also vary. For example, for special materials such as fans and other workpieces, or for rotors with plastic impellers, even if the speed is relatively high during operation, there may still be situations where only low speed can be used for balance testing. Due to the large amount of imbalance caused by high speed, the workpiece will deform, which seriously affects the accuracy of dynamic balance testing.

2. Choose according to the type of balancing machine

Generally, professional manufacturers choose the testing speed by selecting the type of balancing machine. If a soft support dynamic balancing machine is selected, the testing speed should be higher than the working speed of the rotor, because the signal detected by the sensor is proportional to the vibration displacement of the support. If a hard support balancing machine is selected, the testing speed of the balancing machine should be lower than the working speed of the rotor, because the signal detected by the sensor is proportional to the vibration force of the support. However, for high-speed rotors with tens of thousands of revolutions per minute, a speed of about 1/10 should be selected.

3. Choose according to the quality of the workpiece

When conducting dynamic balance testing on workpieces, the first step is to roughly calculate the weight of the workpiece to find a suitable dynamic balance machine. For heavier workpieces, a suitable hard support balance machine should be selected for testing. It is precisely because the rigidity of hard support balance machines is relatively strong that for lighter workpieces, a suitable soft support balance machine should be selected for testing.

4. Choose different testing speeds for different diameters

Under normal circumstances, the test speed is selected based on the principle that the larger the diameter of the workpiece, the lower the speed. But there are different workpieces with small diameters that should be balanced at low speeds when the static balance is too large. Because when the balance is large, the higher the test speed, the greater the unbalanced centrifugal force generated. It will cause the workpiece to bounce on the support frame, and in severe cases, it will pose a threat to the human body and damage the dynamic balancing equipment. This requires selecting a low speed for balance detection.

There are many factors that we need to consider when choosing a dynamic balancing machine to test the speed. For beginners and balancing machine operators who have just learned about the scale of dynamic balancing, choosing the correct dynamic balancing machine to test speed is the most concerned issue for many manufacturers and professional technicians in order to quickly and accurately familiarize themselves with the operation and use of dynamic balancing machines. As the balancing machine process directly involves the company's production and quality issues.
